K2 Equestrian Center Inc

The K2 Equestrian Center is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization which was established in the spring of 2002 by owners, Keith and Katherine Wacholz. The Center offers a therapeutic riding program and equine assisted therapy to special needs children, adults, Veterans, and terminally ill patients. Keith and Katherine are credentialed teachers in general and special education, with 30 years of teaching experience in the field of behavioral intervention.

They are also are trained in the Parelli Natural Horsemanship program, and are members of the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) and the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH). They believe that pairing the special needs of children with the majestic nature of the horse was a natural combination. Together with their nine quarter-horses, five burros and two therapy dogs, they've opened their ranch to those who may need a place to recover and grow. All programs and services are offered free of charge.
