K9 Specialty Services of Alabama  Inc

K9 Specialty Services of Alabama is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the location of the lost, missing and overdue persons where ever they may be and at what ever time they are needed. Each k9 team includes one certified canine and one certified k9 Handler. Our canines are trained in Human Remains Detection,Tracking, Trailing, Area Search and Service K9's. We also train Narcotics K9's and donate them to Law Enforcement Departments that would be unable to otherwise afford a Narcotics k9. We currently have canines in Law Enforcement Departments in Alabama and Florida. We were able to assist in the search and recovery after the April 27, 2011 tornados in our area.  We have also participated in recovery and cold case searches that were able to bring closure to these families involved. All of the training up to this point have been covered out of our own pockerts as trained K9's cost between $12,000 for trained law enforcement K9's to $26,000 for services dogs.We do what we do for the love of the canines and to help for those in need.
