K9s4COPs is nonprofit foundation whose mission is to build a safer future by placing K9 officers in communities and schools.

K9s4COPs is a Texas-based nonprofit that provides trained K9 partners to law enforcement agencies, school districts and college campuses nationwide. Since its inception in 2011---over 230 K9s have been awarded including five in the Brazos Valley. Three of those K9s are at Texas A&M --the first police K9s ever for the university! K9s fight crime by locating narcotics, explosives, firearms, and patrolling neighborhoods and schools. K9 partners help officers do their jobs safer, faster, and have saved thousands of lives-- including many officers who can go home safely to their families after their shifts. A K9, along with the initial training, starts at $15,000 and can exceed $45,000, depending on the K9's discipline and detection skills. These costs, coupled with budget constraints, often prevent agencies from purchasing a K9 or replacing one injured, retired, or lost in the line of duty. Furthermore, the restriction of funds means they lack vital training these teams need to perform their tasks effectively. K9s4COPs come to the rescue and gives these exceptional K9 officers to agencies that suffer an urgent demand. K9s4COPs gifted K9s have seized well over $500 million in contraband nationwide!
