Kainos Home and Training Center for the Developmentally Disabled

It has been over 40 years since Dorothy Philbrick realized her dream for her son Jim and broke ground creating Kainos. Since Kainos opened its doors in 1974, the hope was to offer premiere residential support and training, vocational training and social/recreational opportunities.

Flash forward to 2017. Kainos is thriving and serving over 130 adults with developmental disabilities both residentially and vocationally. One hundred plus volunteers spend time each year making a difference in our clients lives while over 95 staff work tirelessly day in and day out ensuring that our clients flourish and receive the best care and training possible.
