Incorporated in Utah in February, 2011, Kayenta Arts Foundation was granted tax exempt recognition in September, 2011.  Located in the desert community of Kayenta, in the southern Utah city of Ivins, KAF hopes to serve the greater southern Utah area.  To date, KAF has presented plays, classical, jazz, and western concerts, and performance poetry.  Its signature event is an annual Street Painting Festival which brings together students, professional Madonnari, and the public in the creation of chalk murals throughout Kayenta's Coyote Gulch Art Village.  In 2013, Art In Kayenta, an annual arts festival, was transferred to  KAF as one of its programs. Along with Art In Kayenta, KAF presents a Quick Draw during which professional artists create an original piece while interacting with the public. KAF also maintains the Desert Rose Labyrinth with its serene space and sculptures.

One of KAF's goals is to have an indoor performing arts center as a venue for its productions as well as for public and corporate meetings and receptions. Fundraising for the Center is underway.

With a focus on diverse artistic endeavors, KAF hopes to supplement and enhance the variety and accessibility of performances and events available to the residents of surrounding communities.
