Kids Enjoy Exercise Now

Brought to the Valley in 2008, KEEN Phoenix is committed to providing free recreational opportunities to children and young adults with disabilities by pairing them with trained volunteers for fun, noncompetitive activities.

KEEN Phoenix seeks to develop each athlete's self-esteem and confidence, as well as recreational skills and talents, and to increase each athlete's ability to participate in a broader range of recreational activities and environments.

We have heard from countless parents that their children have increased socialization and consequently, increased self-esteem as a result of our program. Volunteers are paired one-on-one with children (athletes) to participate in fun yet appropriate activities geared at not only building social skills, but providing physical exercise to a population that normally does not receive it.
