Keep California Beautiful

Keep California Beautiful strives to keep our state the cleanest and greenest through friendly challenges and competitions. Our organization targets the youth of our state to teach and encourage redusing, reusing and recycling.

The KCB K-12 Recycling Challenge Competition is a month long competition which challenges CA schools to increase their recycling efforts and compete for scholarship awards. The competition includes winners in both total weight and per capita. In 2016, we had over 280 K-12 Schools throughout California participate, and gave out $18,000 to 56 winning schools!

The Greater Bakersfield Green Expo includes an art competition in which high school students may create an art piece with at least 50% recycled material for their chance to win a share of $6,000 in scholarships!
