Keira Grace Foundation for Childrens Cancer Inc

This year over 160,000 children worldwide will be diagnosed with cancer. In the US and other developed countries most children with cancer are cured with some types of cancer having survival rates that are close to 100%. Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority children with cancer live in developing countries and will have no hope of being cured. Keira Grace Foundation delivers proven treatments for cancer to children living in developing countries and increases survival rates by 400%.

In the spring of 2003, Drs Michael and Eileen Lauzardo were faced with an unthinkable situation. After their infant daughter Keira, survived major open heart sugery for a congenital heart defect, more tragedy struck.  Both their son and daughter Keira were simultaneously diagnosed with two different types of leukemia. Their son survived but Keira did not. It is this experience that propelled the Lauzardos to form the Foundation that bears their daughter's name. Through the Foundation, Keira's legacy is to share lifesaving cancer treatment with all children throughout the world and provide hope for a cure to all children regardless of where they live. 

We want to raise $15,000 during our online Spring fundraising effort between now and March 1. The funds will go towards ensuring that children and their families will have a place to stay when they come to our treatment program. The Share the Cure House is a residential facility built for children with cancer and their families so that they will have a caring and safe place to stay during treatment at no cost to them while their children are receiving care for cancer in the Dominican Republic.  For more information please visit us at our website www.keiragracefoundation.com.  Please share the cure.
