Kenston Athletic Boosters

The Kenston Athletic Boosters is seeking much needed community financial support to help with a shortfall in our general fund in order for the boosters to continue to operate and support our student athletes at a high level.  The mission of the Kenston Athletic Boosters is to support our high school student athletes from the Kenston Local Schools district while encouraging school and community spirit.  This is accomplished by providing financial assistance for equipment, facilities, and sporting events.  Included are examples of some of the booster projects and events that have been supported over the years.  KAB athletic scholarships, athletic fields upgrades,  soccer goals, Kenston relays, athletic storage building / ticket booth, stadium scoreboard, high school weight room, game & practice equipment, senior banner pictures, Gibas Cross Country invitational, KIT Wrestling tournament, track timing equipment, athletic department golf cart, safety nets, wind screens for tennis courts, Kenston trails, team signage, Hudl software for the coaching staff & athletes, Final Forms communication software, spirit buses & financial support for accommodations for our state tournament participants.   

This past year has been extremely challenging to actively fundraise & has limited the ability of the KAB to host booster events given the impact of COVID.  Some examples include 50/50 ticket raffles at games, Night at the Races fundraiser and indoor concessions were all suspended in 2020/2021 and intermittent in 2021/2022.  These booster sponsored events have historically generated a large portion of the funding needed to support the KAB initiatives throughout the year.
