Kentuckiana Musicians for the Community Inc

How important is music in your life? Does hearing a live concert lift your spirts? Louis Armstrong said “Music is life itself.”

Many of us attend concerts because they provide us with joy, pleasure and lift our spirits. However, there are economic barriers that prevent some in our community from being able to hear live music concerts.

The mission of Kentuckiana Musicians for the Community is to bring professional live music and music education to Kentuckiana (Kentucky and Southern Indiana). Performances are targeted to communities in need, including schools, nursing/retirement homes, libraries, public parks and civic events. All concerts are free and open to the public.

KMC is new 501-c-3 charitable organization in just its first year of operation. The very first concert produced by the KMC took place in February 2024. As of today, 58 performances have taken benefiting over 162 professional musicians.

With additional support, KMC will be able to expand its concert offerings.
