Kentucky School for the Deaf Charitable Foundation Inc

KSDCF supports all deaf and hard of hearing students across the state of Kentucky and at KSD. Our influence is far and wide across KSD and the larger deaf community.  Our goal is to level the educational playing field and give KSD students the same cultural experiences and learning opportunities as their hearing peers.

Here are a few things KSDCF has done for students in the past few years:

• Provided new bedding for KSD dormitories

• Secured high-tech video-conferencing equipment for distance learning at KSD

• Installed industry-leading fans to keep our gymnasium cool

• Raised a significant portion of funds necessary to fix the campus pool

• Sponsored local Deaf cultural events like movie screenings or holiday socials

• Awarded funding for special class projects

With help from KSDCF, our students are able to use important new classroom technologies, live in improved residence hall facilities, work one-on-one with American Sign Language and English language tutors, and enjoy fantastic behavior incentives through initiatives of the Foundation. We are pleased to play a major role in expanding student opportunities through fundraising and small grant awards.
