Kentucky Waterways Alliance

Our mission is to protect, restore, and celebrate Kentucky's 90,000 miles of lakes, rivers, and streams and their watersheds. All life depends on clean water, including human life. Healthy water means healthy wildlife, a healthy planet, a healthy home for humans. We are all in this together. 

KWA is a member-driven organization. We work together with partners, including state and federal agencies and local watershed groups, to bring about change through advocacy, restoration projects, education, and volunteer clean-ups.  To learn more about our work, please read our 2023 Impact Report.
