ABOUT US 

Located throughout downtown Louisville, Kentucky Performing Arts (KPA) serves as an important economic engine and cultural asset for the Commonwealth, bringing audiences together through the presentation of local, national, and international artists. 

KPA is the parent organization of The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, The Brown Theatre and Old Forester’s Paristown Hall in Louisville, as well as education and outreach programs, the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts, KPA ArtsReach, and the KPA Bradley Awards.                    

As a nonprofit, Kentucky Performing Arts lives its mission to connect and inspire through the arts by presenting diverse and relevant artists and events, connecting artists with the community, and providing regional arts education programming.         

KPA is the Commonwealth's largest arts organization, hosting more than 500 events a year that attract 400,000+ people from all 120 Kentucky counties, as well as all 50 states and several countries. These shared experiences facilitate interactivity, nurture a sense of belonging, and improve quality of place by enriching our cultural landscape.
