Beginning in 2005 Kenya Help began raising funds for a girls secondary school in Naivasha. St. Francis School opened in January 2007, graduating its first class of 17 students in 2010. Current enrollment is 240 girls. Our executive director, Margo McAuliffe spends each summer teaching math.

We provide scholarship support for 70 students, some of whom are boys at the near by boys school. In addition, ten students are supported in colleges and post secondary training. This is necessary because secondary education is not free in Kenya.

We are pledged to educate the children of Mji Wa Neema children's home in Naivasha to the extent of their abilities. Currently two are in medical school and one is studying communication wth the aim of becoming a television personality and twenty more in high school.

Recognizing that boys education is vital, Kenya Help has supported the renovation of Archbishop Ndingi Secondary School for Boys in Naivasha attended by some of the boys from the children's home.

Judy Murphy, a retired social worker and board member, has visited six summers, working with the director and matron of the children's home, supervising renovation using funds raised by Kenya Help.
