At the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves to live in a clean, green, and beautiful environment. By conserving our resources and keeping our landscapes free of blight, we not only provide green spaces that people and wildlife alike can enjoy, but keep communities safe and encourage economic development.

As a state affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, we lead more than 70 city and county programs across Georgia, providing them with the tools and resources they need to engage an average of 100,000 volunteers in environmental preservation efforts each year. Together, we strive to end litter, reduce waste, promote recycling, and beautify communities.

Why Our Work Matters

When we pick up litter, we prevent it from harming wildlife and entering our waterways. By recycling and reducing waste, we save landfill space and conserve natural resources. Finally, cleaner streets and vibrant, pollinator-friendly green spaces mean we can all enjoy a more beautiful Georgia. Consider the following facts:

• GDOT spends more than $10 million each year cleaning our roadways.
• Each ton of recycled paper saves 17 trees.
• Living near green spaces can reduce anxiety and depression by 55%.
