*Kicking Out Transphobia* is a community project that began in 2020 following the lifting of quarantine restrictions. It started as the first tournament in Philadelphia under the new Covid-19 protocols, organized by Casa Soccer League and The Philadelphia Falcons. The initiative aims to raise funds for local and national trans organizations such as Morris Home, Rainbow Room, Trans Lifeline, Philly Trans March, Attic Youth Center, Team Trans Hockey, Protect Trans Kids Texas, and Ark of Safety. In 2021, we expanded to include a Women’s & Non-binary Division and launched a social media campaign to educate, raise awareness, share information, and empower the trans community. We hosted events like Play Philly Sports and Protect Texas Trans Kids in partnership with LGBTQ+ and Philly organizations. In 2023, the tournament went international, hosting the first-ever All Trans Match in the United States in Las Vegas, with players from the US and Mexico. We continued to host events in cities like Seattle, Washington DC, and San Francisco, including the first event with LGBTQ Youth players. The project expanded further when Mexico hosted the Spanish version, "Pateando La Transfobia," a 7v7 tournament with LGBTQIA and allies clubs.

Today, we operate as a fiscal project of the Friends of the IGLFA International LGBTQIA Football Association a nonprofit organization! seeking supporters to sustain our mission and host more events. With six cities already involved and others expressing interest this year, we rely on various means for funding:

- Donations

- Merchandise sales

- Tournament events

- Sponsorships

- Team and player registrations

Our expenses cover field space, soccer equipment, banners, promotional items, flyers, uniforms and scholarships to trans athletes to participate in our different events. Despite being a volunteer-driven project, we incur costs for referees and volunteers. One of our main challenges is organizing new events, especially in cities where we must prove ourselves as a grassroots initiative, not just a funding project.

Despite these challenges, we've managed to donate over $30,000 to other nonprofit organizations, partnered with LGBTQ+ groups, provided free uniforms to trans players, and launched campaigns like "Trans Rights are Humans Rights" during Trans Awareness Week. With your support, we aim to host more events, expand internationally, and provide assistance to teams participating in events like the Sin City Classic.

Your contribution this Giving Out Day will help us to fund the NEW FOUR CITIES ADDING TO THE TOURNAMENT SERIES and together raise awareness, visibility, and representation for the trans and nonconforming community, creating safe spaces for them to enjoy the sport they love. We're seeking supporters to continue our mission and enable us to invite international players to conferences or soccer tournaments.
