KidKnits

Inspired by a nine-year old's belief that you're never too young to change a life on the other side of the world, KidKnits is a non-profit social business that is changing lives in Rwanda, Africa through a simple craft kit.
KidKnits buys merino wool yarn which is hand-dyed and hand-spun by widows in Rwanda, through our partner True Vineyard Ministries.  By importing this handmade yarn, we are currently providing twenty seven widows an opportunity to earn an above-average income, provide education for their children, receive health insurance, and save for their future retirement.  With your help, we can meet our goal of supporting forty widows and their families over the next year!
However, KidKnits' benefit does not end there.  By packaging this yarn with everything needed to make an attractive knit hat, we have provided a simple craft kit for kids of all ages.  Then, by simply learning a new craft and making a hat, kids truly have had an opportunity to help someone on the other side of the world, all the while learning more about topics of world poverty, culture, and social responsibility.
