Kid One Transport System Inc

The mission of Kid One Transport is straightforward and simple: to provide transportation for children and expectant mothers who have little or no means of transportation to needed medical care including basic health services, preventative care, prenatal care, behavioral counseling, mental health services, dental and vision services, as well as critical health services including dialysis and chemotherapy.

For many families in Alabama, simply reaching the care they need is their biggest obstacle. 97% of Kid One clients do not own a car or cannot drive due to financial constraints. 83% of families utilizing Kid One's services report an annual family income of less than $10,000.

Kid One was founded in 1997 to bring relief to thousands of Alabama's children who lacked access to health care because they did not have transportation. What began with one man and a vision has grown into an organization that provides 25,000  local and long-range transports annually. Since 1997, Kid One has provided 342,000 transports for children and expecant mothers in Alabama.
