Kids With a Call Inc

My name is Joycelyn Carpenter, founder of Kids With A Call, Inc.  I graduated from USF with a BS in elementary education in 1990 and have been teaching since then.

In 2001, I was elected director of Voices of Wellswood for The Wellswood Civic Association whose main purpose was to provide educational and art programs to students within the community, to give these students a sense of belonging and to create a performing arts troupe where they would perform at various venues.

In 2009, in an effort to serve students from other communities, I founded a 501C3 organization, Kids With A Call. This new program had the same components as The Voices of Wellswood, but was now extended to students from other communities.

In 2020, Kids With A Call created a music school, Orchestral Melodies where students learn to play musical instruments year-round!  We hope to establish a music group with 100 students in the orchestra.
