Kingdom Life Academy

Kingdom Life Academy is a private, not-for-profit school existing to provide practical, Christ-centered learning which: educates through action based projects, equips students to humbly influence others through Christ, empowers students to break destructive cycles, and employs students through real-world application of the curriculum.

OUR PROGRAM:

KLA is a privately funded, project-based learn, urban Christian middle and high micro-school. The students we are targeting are those who are ages 11 to 17, failing to thrive in the traditional education model, come from the urban/ inner city areas of Tyler, and have challenging family situations. The goal at KLA is to educate and equip our students through discipleship in Christian values and morals, and life skills training through hands-on learning. Our program also includes opportunities for the students to earn various certifications that they will need in the workforce. Our current classes include: Real World Math, Nutrition, Food Science, Project Management, Basic Math, ELAR, Bible, Entrepreneurship, Electricity, Project Management, Gardening, and Professional/Career Development. We also prepare each student to enter TJC's dual credit program in the fall of their junior year in the certification program of their choosing. Therefore, when these students graduate from KLA, they have the opportunity to receive a high school diploma as well as a 2 year certification from one of the many programs offered at Tyler Junior College.
