The King Band and Color Guard Boosters provides supplemental funding to support the Music and Marching program at the primary and secondary grade school levels. The program is a year long and starts with music fundamentals in the summer and continues through the school year.

The program moves from leadership skills to individual music and visual performance skills. The marching/parade is done in a military style and evaluated on the quality of music played and the precision of marching. Practice ensures a continuous process of improvement throughout the school   year with music incorporated into the daily curriculum and marching and visual performance practice held after school.

The programs accomplishments include winning numerous sweepstakes awards over its 12 year history including marching in the Tournament of Roses Parade in 2007 and winning the National Parade Championships at the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix Arizona the same year.  The band organized a concert performance and raised over $7000.00 for Sendai Japan after the devastating earthquake and tidal wave sweep the city.  They regularly are called upon to play music for local community organizations and charitable events and do it no cost to the requesting organizations.
