Kiowa Pride Academic Scholarship Foundation

Kiowa Pride Academic Scholarship Foundation (Kiowa Pride) for over a decade has proportionately supported the further education of all graduating seniors of Booker High School who make an A or B in Booker junior high and high school core classes.   Its grants have been applied to the expenses of two years of college or of any other post-secondary education program or training. Over $150,000 has been awarded by the Foundation for over a decade to a yearly average of 20 graduates. The number of core classes taken and whether the student earned an A or a B. determines the amount received by each student. We also would like to support more students beyond two years based on need.

            Booker students long benefited from the Beulah Perry Memorial Scholarship Fund administered by FirstBank Southwest. That Fund granted awards of several thousand dollars  to a few top graduates each year for four years.  All of its funds were rolled over into Kiowa Pride in 2024 to save accounting fees among other reasons.  Kiowa Pride plans to continue such awards.
