For more than 115 years, Kitsap Humane Society is where second chances start for pets and the people who love them. Together with your support, we put compassion into action and serve as a safety net, providing essential services and progressive programs to pets and people in need since 1908.

Kitsap Humane Society is the West Sound region’s largest nonprofit animal shelter, and in 2023 we were committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming thousands of pets in need. Because of supporters like you, we found new homes for 4,282 pets in need, placed 1,048 in foster homes, and spayed and neutered 3,497. And with the recent opening of the Russ and Linda Young Veterinary Lifesaving Center, we're able to expand our services, providing reduced-cost veterinary care for those who need it - and keeping families together.
