The reason for our fundraising effort on ColoradoGives.org is to

• Support our scholarship fund for graduating seniors at Alameda International Junior/Senior High School
• Support our Write Stuff Project that provides school supplies to Title 1 Elementary Schools in Jefferson County

SCHOLARSHIPS

Alameda is one of several Jefferson High Schools with a high level of low income students.  For the last 8 years, we have been proud to provide scholarships to high achieving students who wish to further their education through vocational, community college or university opportunities.  A number of these recipients have been the first in their family to pursue higher education. 

WRITE STUFF PROJECT

While a number of organizations provide schools supplies to students at the beginning, of the year, a need for basic school supplies when students return from winter break was identified.  This includes items that have been used up, including paper, pencils and crayons.  For the last 10+ years the Write Stuff Project has been providing packages of these supplies to all students in Elementary schools with the highest level of low income students.  Supplies will be provided to 12 Elementary schools with approximately 3,800 students in January.
