Help for the homeless, the hungry and the hurting

KPC monks and nuns spearhead a thrice weekly lunch program for feeding the homeless, nourishment that doubles as a valuable conduit so people without homes can also gain access to other services and help.

Through KPC's prison outreach, KPC monks and nuns offer inmates spiritual support, reading materials and guidance. Over three decades, hundreds of prisoners have received in-person visits,  while thousands more have participated in correspondence

KPC monks and nuns also help families and individuals in crisis or in pain. With minds grounded in contemplation, meditation and prayer, KPC's ordained community offers kindness, solace and support.

For the birds

KPC's Garuda Aviary provides life-long sanctuary for abused and neglected parrots. Volunteers and the Aviary's caretaker also work to educate people about and advocate against the abusive and destructive international parrot trade industry.

Prayer without ceasing

Since 1985, the 24-hour Prayer Vigil has offered unceasing prayer for the planet. If you'd like to make a prayer request for yourself or others, please visit: http://www.tara.org/prayers/.
