KPCW is the only not-for-profit source of daily, local news in Park City. We help you "Listen Like a Local" and keep you connected with news, great music, and updates about all that's happening in Summit and Wasatch counties. KPCW broadcasts via three frequencies 91.7 FM, 88.1 FM, and 91.9 FM along with 24/7 digital streaming on our website and mobile app. And we're proud to provide all of our content online without a paywall, meaning that KPCW is accessible to ANYONE, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME at KPCW.org.

  • Not a radio listener? The Local, KPCW's free daily newsletter brings you the stories you might have missed on air right to your email inbox. Launched in 2022, 6,000 subscribers now receive this daily newsletter - and you can too when you subscribe today!
  • Wondering what you need to know today? The KPCW News Team has you covered morning, noon, and night with local news stories and interviews with city and county representatives, local business owners and nonprofit leaders, school board members, and more.
  • Lost something around town? We've got you covered with KPCW's hourly Lost & Found reports.
  • Planning to hit the trails or the slopes? We're here for you with daily weather, snow and avalanche forecasting, and trail reports.
  • Heading across town? We'll tell you when traffic is backing up and what roads to avoid.
  • Looking for ways to get more involved in the community you love? Each day, we bring you dozens of Public Service Announcements about volunteer opportunities and upcoming events around town.

KPCW provides the local news you can use, when and where you need it. Thank you for listening - and GIVING - like a local!

More about KPCW

Since 1980, KPCW has been an essential source of daily news for residents and visitors across Summit and Wasatch counties. Beyond being an NPR affiliate, KPCW strives to be an anchor in our community that listens deeply, surfaces untold stories, presents fact-based information that builds awareness, empathy, and engagement among the diverse communities we serve. KPCW’s primary focus is to connect and inform our listeners, showcase local arts and cultural organizations and events, support area nonprofits and businesses, promote tourism across the region, and provide emergency first response information and resources.

KPCW dedicates 4.5 hours a day to in-depth local news and interviews with city and county leaders, public health officials, local school boards, and nonprofits serving the community, in addition to up-to-the minute information on local emergencies, weather, and road conditions. KPCW local programs include the Local News Hour with Leslie Thatcher and The Local View with Randy Barton. Our daily public affairs shows include Mountain Money (finance), This Green Earth (environment), The Mountain Life (health and wellness), Cool Science Radio (science and technology), and Rich Tones Curated Jazz (Friday and Saturday nights), along with 80+ hours of carefully curated, intentionally eclectic music each week.

In an effort expand and reach new audiences, KPCW introduced a free newsletter, The Local, delivering the top news stories of the past 24 hours to subscribers' email inboxes every morning. And earlier this year, the station launched KPCW.org en espanol to provide daily local news stories in Spanish with the goal of ensuring that everyone who lives and works in the greater Park City area is aware of issues impacting them and services available to them.

As a public radio station, KPCW's primary sources of funding come from individual donors and underwriters along with funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the Summit County Recreation, Arts, and Parks (RAP) tax grant program, and other charitable grants.

KPCW is a not-for-profit 501 (c)3 corporation, Federal ID #94-2528451
