KRV Bridge Connection (KRVBC) is working to benefit the rural Kern River Valley in Eastern Kern County, which is comprised of 10 small communities with a high percentage of elderly and low-income residents who live far from Bakersfield's resources. We seek to uplift the community as a whole and are dedicated to strengthening the Kern River Valley (KRV) community of 22,000 residents. Our mission is to bridge individuals and families to services that address lasting solutions to food insecurity, homelessness, and the needs of low-income households.
In 2025, KRVBC opened the doors to a building at 6069 Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella, CA to serve as a permanent hub for our resource providing partners; a multipurpose collaborative space to bridge the underserved of the KRV to locally accessible nonprofit advocates, resource providers and educational opportunities.

We are excited to fundraise in 2026 for our community garden, including fruit trees, that will provide fresh vegetables and fruit. Community members of all ages have helped build raised garden beds, and our large teaching kitchen is a perfect gathering space for teaching healthy cooking skills. With food insecurity impacting many in the Kern River Valley, the KRV Bridge Connection Community Garden offers a hands-on way for neighbors to grow fresh, healthy food for themselves.
Your donation will help us grow more than food. We'll grow resilience, connection, and access for our neighbors right here in Lake Isabella.
