KSDS Assistance Dogs, Inc. is a non-profit located in Washington, Kansas, that breeds and trains assistance dogs for specialized programs, including guide dogs, service dogs, and facility dogs.

KSDS mission is to provide professionally trained Guide, Service, and Facility dogs for people in need of a canine partner to enhance their independence, to fully function in society and or to enrich their professional career responsibilities with the ongoing support of our trainers to ensure proficient working partnerships.

KSDS vision is to contribute to a world where all people who would benefit from a professional-trained canine will be matched with the perfect partner.

In the past twenty-six years, KSDS has placed over 500  assistance dog teams.   KSDS is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit.  All team placements occur at no cost to them, other than a $25 application fee.

KSDS's early beginning started in 1990 when a group of 4-H leaders were helping raise puppies for another assistance dog organization on the west coast. In that process, they learned there wasn't any assistance dog school in the midwest. KSDS wanted to fill that need, not only in the midwest, but throughout the United States.
