Kumus Cupboard

Kumu’s Cupboard is the nonprofit store where Kauai educators shop at NO COST for classroom supplies.

Many educators spend their own money to enhance the education of their students whether to buy basic school supplies or materials for a special project. Opened in 2017, Kumu’s Cupboard supports public, private and charter school K-12 teachers, counselors, and educational assistants. Kumu’s Cupboard is filled with school supplies, office supplies, materials for art and science projects, literacy, student incentives and more.  Educators can shop once per month.

Kumu's Cupboard also hosts a non-consumable lending service of over eighty items that can be checked out including math and science tools, teaching kits, instruments, literature sets and more.  We supply educators with filled backpacks for students without the needed supplies.  We have provided mini grants so educators can do special projects, build classroom libraries, or buy curriculum materials to enhance their teaching.

Kumu's Cupboard is an all volunteer run organization supported by community donations and grants.
