As a non-profit organization, the Kunta Kinte Celebrations organization needs you to continue the great tradition of the Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival!

The original Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival was held in September 1987 in Annapolis, Maryland. Over the years, the festival grew into an occasion for thousands of festival attendees from all walks of life to come together for education, entertainment, and cultural expression.

In its most recent form, the festival is a free, one-day, family-friendly event at the Annapolis City Dock featuring live music, dance performances, educational childrens' activities, world food purveyors, and fashion/craft vendors. The festival is in a stage of rebuilding and rebranding to support this free experience and your monetary support is needed.
