Kentucky Bar Foundation

A nonprofit organization

$860 raised by 17 donors

The Kentucky Bar Foundation's mission is to further the public's understanding of the judicial system and the legal profession through programs and philanthropic partnerships that help those in need.

Since 1988, the Foundation has given over $3.5 million to agencies promoting justice and law-related education for Kentuckians.  The Foundation has also developed its own projects toward this mission, including the Credit Abuse Resistance Education ("CARE") financial literacy program for high school students that has been presented at schools in over sixty Kentucky counties.

Foundation support has positively affected the lives of many citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and furthered the administration of justice through programs that include:

  • educating the public about the justice system
  • helping at-risk children
  • providing funding to assist abused women and children
  • assisting veterans with legal problems by funding clinics offering free legal services
  • providing funding to educate high school seniors about abuse of credit
  • preserving legal history

We hope that you'll join the Foundation as we continue to play a critical role in improving the administration of justice across Kentucky.  The Foundation proudly awarded 2018 grants totaling $250,000.  With your help, the Foundation can strive to make an even bigger impact with future grants.  Thank you for your support!
