3CE, a program of LIFE, helps improve lives by working in partnership with low income individuals and families - providing job services, GED, life skills classes, counseling, access to community resources, job and personal coaching, and much more.

Eighteen months ago, when Candie first came to 3CE her goal was to just get out of the house and get connected to resources. Now she has developed her computer skills and has a resume and cover letter that she can be proud of.

She came to our offices because the location was convenient to her needs but she stayed for the people. Her favorite part of coming to 3CE is meeting new people, "They are all so different, I know the regulars and I can tell who is serious about job searching."

Candie noted that since coming to 3CE "The biggest change is my confidence; I wear make-up again, figured out my bus route for work, found a good daycare and I can communicate comfortably. I'm confident in my decision making, no second guessing myself."

Janet, our CSU Extension Agent, agreed with Candie and stated that "Her confidence has blossomed during her time here and she has become a great peer role model. Her confidence and skills are having a positive impact on her children."

Candie plans on continuing to work with us even after gaining employment as she works toward her goal of becoming a Certified Counselor.

Our Resident Services Coordinator, Elizabeth said, "She is making great strides tackling every situation that attempts to be an obstacle in her path; demonstrating her true resiliency."
