La Escuelita Arcoiris

The mission of La Escuelita Arcoiris, a Pittsburgh-based Spanish language immersion school, is to serve young people and their families through a culturally diverse, creative, child-focused learning environment.

Over the course of two to four years of school, children absorb and comprehend the Spanish language in an organic manner. By providing a warm, engaging environment where children play and move through their days while hearing and using Spanish, La Escuelita naturally fosters the development of a second language. Our preschool program is for children ages 18 months to 5 years. The Program:Nurtures a sense of community and peaceful conflict resolution through consistent positive discipline.Enhances cognitivel development through hands-on activities and play.Stimulates imagination and literacy through storytelling and the dramatic arts.Instills an appreciation for nature and healthy food by growing gardens, exploring the outdoors and cooking together.Fosters musical appreciation with song, rhythm and movement.Celebrates artistic expression through child-centered, multi-media art projects.
