La Jolla Playhouse is where artists and audiences come together to create what’s new and next in American Theatre.

Every year, with the generous help of our supporters, we are able to impact the lives of over 20,000 San Diego elementary and middle school students through our Performance Outreach Program (POP) tour, inspire thousands of With Out Walls (WOW) Festival attendees with 23 world-class productions completely free of charge, and foster the next generation of actors and artists in our teen Conservatory program. It is with your loyalty and enthusiasm for audacious work that the Playhouse has successfully mounted 108 world premieres, commissioned 70 new works, and sent 33 productions to Broadway, garnering a total of 38 Tony Awards.
