Lincoln Association for the Traditional Arts Inc

The Lincoln Association for Traditional Arts is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and promote folk and traditional music, dance, and related arts in the Lincoln area.

LAFTA is the only local organization that is specifically dedicated to bringing well-known traditional musicians and highly respected contemporary folk performers to the Lincoln area.  The association also sponsors events that feature local musicians, songwriters, folk dancers and storytellers.

LAFTA is pleased to present our Main Stage Concert series at the 7th Street Loft.  This facility is fully accessible.  We seek to provide reasonably priced concerts that are family-friendly, fully accessible, and in smoke-free environments. House concerts and contra dances are also part of our regular schedule.  LAFTA also sponsors educational outreach events bringing touring musicians to local school students to help teach the importance of song and story in our lives.
