$9,382 raised by 38 donors

Founded in 1979, the Lake Wallenpaupack Watershed Management District, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is committed to protecting and maintaining water quality throughout the 219 square-mile area that drains into Lake Wallenpaupack. Led by an all-volunteer board of directors, we represent the various stakeholder groups in the watershed and work across our communities to accomplish our mission. We monitor long-term water quality in the lake and participate in research programs to monitor changing conditions. We also provide educational programming and outreach materials to thousands of students, residents, and visitors annually in an effort to promote responsible stewardship of our natural resources. We also help fund, administer, and manage watershed improvement projects in our 219 square mile watershed. We're proud to have received and administered well over $4 million in grant funding to complete projects that protect Lake Wallenpaupack and many of our streams and adjacent lakes. The District has accomplished all of this, and more, with the help and support of the lake community and our partner agencies. It's donors like YOU who help us fulfill our Mission. We truly appreciate your support!
