Lakeside Hospice Inc

As a faith based Hospice, many recall a story about a patient that was an athiest. Our chaplain visited him frequently with a constant prayer on his heart. After many visits and prayers, our patient found faith and became a believer in Christ before entering into eternity.  There is no better story.

A new service of Lakeside Hospice is Lakeside Behavioral Services, an outreach resource to assist Veterans and their families.  We evaluate for Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury.  We  help them find faith, hope, love and the beauty in our world that they have fought to preserve.  When transitioning home, they may not be aware that they need help. We reach out to help bring them in and offer aid to healing.  We partnered with a Veterans Coalition group to make this project more successful.  Recently, in a PTSD class, a local Veteran shared that when he closed his eyes he sees combat. Through counseling, he can now open his eyes and realize he isn't in combat. Now, he sees his beautiful family, the beauty of nature and can enjoy the freedom he helped to secure.
