Lancaster Country Day School

Lancaster Country Day School is a Preschool–12th grade, co-ed college preparatory school, serving students from Lancaster, Hershey, York, Reading, and surrounding areas. Founded in 1908, LCDS has been providing a challenging, supportive, and joyful education for more than 110 years. We provide a rigorous college preparatory education in tandem with supportive, mentoring relationships between our students and faculty.

Who We Are

LCDS is a college preparatory school, preschool through 12th grade with 100% college placement rate, and a program that stresses the importance of matching student to school for a positive collegiate experience. The dynamic curriculum recognizes an ever-changing world; recent and current offerings have included Mandarin Chinese, the Literature of Service, Entrepreneurial Studies, and a hallmark humanities program that marries art, history, and world religion. Likewise, co-curricular programming provides opportunity for students to explore and extend their abilities and interests. Whether through dance, squash, or robotics, students are encouraged to discover their passions.
