Lancaster Downtowners

Lancaster Downtowners is a dynamic network of support for older residents who love living in Lancaster, and who choose to stay informed, involved and independent.

 

We are growing!  Over 250 people are engaged in the life of our organization – helping one another through hundreds of volunteer hours a month and participating in over 180 events this year alone.

 

Lancaster Downtowners believe in the power of community to change the way we age throughout society.

 • Thanks to our amazing "Just One Call" volunteers, we help each other with grocery delivery, transportation, home maintenance, technology coaching and more. 

• We educate each other and invite experts to tell us about scams and Medicare open enrollment.

• We keep each other active with walks, bocce, bikes, and yoga.

• We stay engaged with book clubs, dining out, and a host of other fun events.

• We assist “solo-agers” who seek guidance with important life decisions.

• We offer income-based memberships to keep our dues affordable and accessible to all.

All or our board members, committee chairpersons, and the Fundraising Committee members have pledged to donate to the Downtowners during the ExtraGive.
