Farmers need our help. We must be there. Join us in fighting to keep local agriculture and essential land in farming. 

Right now, farms across New England face real threats. Federal executive actions and funding cuts have cancelled contracts, terminated programs, impacted labor, increased supply costs, reduced market options, and forced farmers into impossible choices. These changes cause real harm to real people trying to feed our communities and steward the land.

Farmers continue to ask for our help every day. So far this year, over 215 farmers and landowners have advanced their farmland goals and completed farm transfers with our support, resulting in more than 3,055 acres maintained in agriculture. Plus our team has extended education and resources to over 2,225 farmers, producers, and providers just this year! In their own words, our farmers share why this work is critical:

“After owning and operating Sawyer Farm for 15 years, it was time for a change, but we really, really wanted our farm to continue to be farmed,” shared Lincoln Fishman and Hilary Costa of Sawyer Farm in Worthington, Massachusetts.

Managing and operating a working farm is hard work. The process of transferring that farm when the time is right brings unique challenges. Your support makes it possible for more New England farmers to receive our expert guidance to transfer their farm, keep active farmland in farming, and help an eager next generation of farmers get on land.

"We wanted the farm to continue to feed the community, we wanted the work we’d put into the soil and the infrastructure to be valuable to someone else, and we wanted to feel like this project wasn’t over, but was bigger than us and would continue on,” shared Lincoln and Hilary. “Land For Good and New England Farmland Finder enabled us to meet so many great farm seekers, and ultimately find farmers who were excited to take the farm and make it their own. I don’t know how we would have gotten the word out without Land For Good.“
