Meet Jason. His family moved to Portland from Los Angeles to get away from the violence in the city. And yet, for Jason, he fell in with the wrong crowd anyway. He began selling drugs, became involved with the justice system, and was headed down the wrong path.

Until he became involved with Latino Network's Community Healing initiative. "They [Latino Network] gave me the time to catch myself before it was too late. I would like to do something like that for other kids."

Today, Jason is on the right track. He's running his own small business selling paletas (popsicles) in Portland and working to achieve his dreams.

We believe in Jason - and the thousands of other youth and families like his in Portland. We believe they can achieve their dreams. We believe in the power of the Latino community to solve its own problems.

In Multnomah County, we serve more than 700 youth and families through the following programs:

Juntos Aprendemos

Ensuring 3-5 year olds are ready to enter kindergarten and helping their parents become their first teachers

Conexiones & Escalera

Promoting positive cultural identity in middle and high school youth while preparing them to apply for and graduate from college.

Community Healing Initiative

Coaching at-risk Latino youth and their entire family to encourage family stability, high school graduation, and a positive future.

Unid@s for Oregon

Training leaders from every part of Oregon in advocacy and civic engagement in order to create positive change for society.

We are working every day to create positive change in Portland.

Will you join us? Your gift today will help youth like Jason get back on the right track.
