Joining the LDS Church and becoming a Latter-day pioneer can come with challenges. These challenges can include learning a new culture, finding new social networks, or even opposition from family and friends. Young adults who join the Church may find themselves struggling to adapt to these challenges and need additional support to continue their personal development and progression in the Church. Attending an LDS affiliated school or enrolling in a CES Institute program are strong predictors of future activity in the Church and can help provide the necessary foundation for lifelong discipleship. This scholarship is designed to help recent converts establish themselves in the LDS community by attending an LDS institution of higher education or CES Institute program while attending another university. We want to make the transition from â€œrecent convert” to â€œactive member” as easy as possible and hope that this scholarship will help in that transition.

Scholarships are awarded annually based on academic progress, financial need, and ecclesiastical endorsement. We are currently only able to offer one scholarship per year but hope to expand this offering so we can help additional students.
