Law College Association of the University of Arizona

A nonprofit organization

The University of Arizona College of Law has many clinics and programs that help those in need of legal representation but lack the means to secure counsel on their own.

Our programs also help law students by providing experiential learning -- an essential ingredient in the educational process.  Under the supervision of faculty or other lawyers, our students interview, counsel, and represent clients, appear in court, assist judges in state, federal, and tribal courts, work in corporate law departments, and work with state and federal legislators.

Through our clinics, we serve the Tucson community by providing legal representation to those in need and making a real difference in peoples' lives.

For a full list of our clinics, please visit our website at UALaw Clinics.  Our featured clinic:

The Bacon Immigration Law and Policy Program

This clinic provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in immigration law by providing services to immigrants in a variety of settings.

We provide three different types of services to the immigrant community in Southern Arizona:

Deportation Defense: Our clinic represents immigrants detained in Eloy, Arizona, and non-detained immigrants in Tucson, Arizona, in their deportation cases. Our clients have included asylum-seekers, victims of domestic violence, and long-time permanent residents seeking humanitarian waivers of removal. We have represented immigrants from all over the world.

Immigration Consultation Clinic: This on-site clinic is open Feb-April and Sept-Nov. We provide information, advice, and brief services to low-income immigrants without legal representation in immigration matters in Southern Arizona.

Immigrant Workers’ Rights: Our Workers' Rights Clinic is open to all low-wage workers, with no questions asked about documentation. We provide information, advice, brief services, and referrals to low-wage immigrant workers in Tucson.  We also provide "Know Your Rights" presentations in a variety of forums in the community to educate immigrant workers about their rights in the workplace.

Thank you for your consideration!
