Roger A. Strand was a World War II Veteran from Westerly, Rhode Island.  He married his first love, Irene, and settled down in his home town.  He raised two children, Marvin D. Strand and Eric Strand, who both served proudly in the Army and Air Force respectively.  Marvin raised two boys, Christopher and Peter Strand, who carried on the tradition.

As the incorporator of LFV, I am proud to take the values that my family has passed on to me and use them to help others who hold the same values.  We provide the best possible service because we believe in what we do.  No person leaves the military unchanged, without experiencing the humility and passion that comes with helping your fellow citizens.

Currently we are inundated by pleas from community members,  Good citizens of limited means that need help.  Every week we serve as many veterans  as we can but there are too many we just don't have the staff to assist.  Please consider a donation to our cause and make a difference today.

LFV has recently unrolled several new programs that are having an immediate and appreciable effect on veteran’s access to benefits and services.  Currently we are seeking donations to help get our "Phase II" initiative off the ground.  Phase II is a combination program designed to provide lawyers to veterans through either direct representation or referrals.
