Leadership New Hampshire

Great leaders don't just happen.

They are nurtured, challenged, and connected. That is exactly what Leadership New Hampshire has done for more than 30 years.

Our state runs lean. Volunteers fill the boards, commissions, town halls, and nonprofits that keep our communities going. But in the face of rising challenges and weakened civic trust, we need more leaders who are ready to serve and who understand the bigger picture.

Leadership New Hampshire exists to build that pipeline.

Each year, we bring together a cohort of diverse, thoughtful leaders from across the state for a transformational nine-month experience. They leave not only better informed, but more deeply committed to New Hampshire and to one another.

Our alumni are elected officials, nonprofit directors, business leaders, state commissioners, and everyday citizens stepping up to make this place better. When you support LNH, you are not just giving to a program. You are investing in the future leadership of New Hampshire.

Who We Are

Making a difference: that’s what Leadership New Hampshire is all about. We fulfill this mission annually by gathering a select cohort of talented and accomplished individuals and then providing them with an opportunity to learn about the complex issues facing our state; to connect with one another; and to serve their communities and our state in positions of leadership and responsibility.

Each year, LNH provides nearly $30,000 in scholarship support to individuals who are unable to support the full cost of tuition for participation in the class. This year, as a result of the economis impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, our requests for scholarship support has increased substantially. The LNH Board of Trustees, staff and alumni are dedicated to ensuring that money not be a deterrent for participation in Leadership NH. Your contribution will help provide scholarship tuition for a vital and engaged leader in our state whose work is important to our future -- but whose employment may not have the ability to support the cost of tuition.
