Lean & Hungry Theater

Lean & Hungry Theater got its start in 2006 in Washington, DC. We use readers’ theater and radio drama to make Shakespeare make sense to audiences of all ages.

 We reach out to the community on our own, too, with special performances and workshops that get people involved in Shakespeare’s plays and what they’re really all about.

Lean & Hungry brings professional readers’ theater to under served areas. We’ll set up anywhere there’s space – to add to the educational and cultural enrichment of students, seniors, families and other interested groups in Washington, DC and beyond.
