The Learning and Language Center at Calico, Inc. needs your help!!!

We provide year round (50 weeks) instruction in speech, language, occupational therapy, literacy, pre-academics and school readiness to disadvantaged children ages 18 months to 6 years.

Not only do we provide our services free to families, we also provide transportation, daily nutritious snacks, diapers, and clothing for 100+ children!

Our program is expanding rapidly! This year we started a toddler program for children 18 months to 3 years. In the past few months, this program has grown from a small classroom of 5 to now providing services for 21 toddlers! 

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP...

With our toddler program expanding so quickly, we now have a need for more materials for their activities.

We are seeking to purchase a climbing ladder, 2 sensory tables, and supplies for the classroom.  

The climbing ladder will be put in the occupational therapy gym to help children achieve developmentally appropriate motor skills. 

Young children use their senses to explore and learn about the world. The sensory tables are filled with sand, water, beans, and other substances for the toddlers to touch, smell, see, and hear.

In the toddler classroom, we are in need of materials and supplies, such as board books, manipulatives (food, animals, etc.) and dress-up clothes for imaginative play.
