Legacy Christian Academy

Legacy Christian Academy is a 501(c)3 religious organization in Bakersfield. Our community has generously supported our school since it's inception in 2012 and they have not been disappointed!

Many families need affordable alternatives to private and public schools that will meet the needs of their children, while also providing precious time with their children to pass on the values that they hold dear. 

Legacy Christian Academy, a Univeristy Model School (UMS), was opened in Bakersfield, California in 2012 with 30 students and now has grown to a school with over 150 students.  Joining other UMS schools in the United States and internationally, Legacy was the 2nd University Model School to open in California. Now in our 4th year, Legacy continues to grow as Christian families look for low cost, highly effective alternatives, to public, private and homeschool.

Legacy has traditional classroom meetings with students two to three days per week with a professional, credentialed teacher with alternative days spent with a co-teaching parent working with teacher prepared lesson plans. This model, with its unique blend of home and school, produces independent, college-worthy students.
