Legal Services Alabama Inc

Legal Services Alabama (LSA) is a non-profit law firm that provides free civil legal aid and services to low income people in all 67 counties in Alabama.

In order to qualify for services, a client’s household income must not exceed 125% of the federal poverty level. LSA helps keep families together by providing legal representation in domestic abuse cases, keeping a home, maintaining income, and receiving the benefits clients are eligible to receive.

Over the past few years, LSA has been a frontrunner in helping people who had legal problems as a result of the BP Oil Spill and the devastating tornadoes in Alabama in April 2011.

LSA is committed to being a good steward of our donor’s gifts. LSA spends 88¢ of every dollar on direct client services.
