Solar really does change everything!

Imagine coming home after dark and relying on dirty, polluting, dangerous kerosene to light your home. Imagine children trying to do homework by its weak, smokey light or an impoverished woman struggling to give birth next to an open flame in a rural, unelectrified medical facility.
This is the reality for far too many people living in rural, off-grid areas of sub-Saharan Africa. The story of Energy Poverty is an important story to tell, as we try to combat global climate change and environmental injustice and inequity.  Thanks to our generous donors, Let There Be Light International is leading the way from darkness to light in off-grid communities in Uganda and Malawi.
